Sealed bids will be received for all labor, material, and services necessary for the STA Main and Tremont SW Roundabout Project PID#120493. The scope includes providing all work as more fully described in the contract documents prepared by the Engineering Department. All steel products must meet the requirements of ODOT CMS 106.09. The project is also subject to Federal Labor Standards Provisions, including payment of prevailing wage rates in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act. Small Business (SBE) participation goals have been set on this project for those certified as SBEs in accordance with TEA-21 (1998) and 49 CFR, Part 26, and qualified to bid with ODOT under Chapter 5525 of the Ohio Revised Code. The prime contractor must perform no less than 30 percent of the total original contract price. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 is required. Pre-qualification requirements: Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids. Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and throughout the life of the construction contract. For work types that ODOT does not pre-qualify, a qualified contractor must be selected. Bidders are requested to provide a liability insurance certificate with a minimum coverage of one million dollars per occurrence when submitting the bid. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. All bidders must conform to SBE Certification before the time of bid opening. The work is also subject to prevailing wage rates and equal employment opportunity requirements.
