The Floyd County Board of Commissioners is seeking to receive sealed bids from qualified concrete contractors, for the furnishing of all labor, tools, material, equipment, and other things necessary for the purpose of the Brushy Branch Boat Ramp Renovation as per the specifications listed within this document for a Mini-Pitch System at the Garden Lakes Park for the Rome/Floyd Parks and Recreation Department. Verbal questions and answers are not binding on any party. General Description: The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is requesting proposals from qualified contractors for repair and minor extension of the existing boat ramp at Brushy Branch located at Montgomery Landing in Rome, Georgia. The purpose of this project is to repair existing damage, improve the alignment and usability of the ramp pad, and extend the ramp to improve boat launching operations. The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits and supervision necessary to complete the project. Project Objectives: The objectives of this project include: o Repair existing damage to the boat ramp o Improve ramp usability by squaring and aligning the ramp pad o Extend the ramp to improve launching conditions o Maintain a safe and durable surface for public use Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all services necessary to complete the repair and extension project, including but not limited to the following tasks. 1. Inspection and Site Preparation o Review and inspect the existing boat ramp condition o Mobilize equipment and establish a staging area o Install temporary erosion and sediment control if necessary o Provide safety measures to protect the public during construction 2. Repair Existing Ramp o Repair any cracks, spalling, or deteriorated concrete areas o Remove and replace damaged sections of concrete where necessary o Restore the structural integrity of the ramp surface o Ensure repairs match the existing ramp grade and finish 3. Square Existing Ramp Pad o Modify or reconstruct the ramp pad as necessary to square and align the ramp footprint o Correct uneven edges or misaligned sections o Ensure the ramp provides proper support and alignment for launching boats and trailers 4. Ramp Extension o Extend the existing ramp an additional five (5) feet o Add concrete curb 3' from the end of the ramp o Prepare subgrade and base material as required o Construct reinforced concrete extension tied into the existing ramp o Match slope and width of the existing ramp o Provide a broom or grooved finish for traction 5. Site Restoration o Restore disturbed areas adjacent to the ramp o Remove debris and excess materials from the site o Ensure the area is clean and safe for public use upon completion 6. Site Visit Contractors are strongly encouraged to visit the site at Brushy Branch Boat Ramp 1 Montgomery Landing Rome, GA 30165 There will be no formal pre-bid/site visit, however it is the contractors responsibility to obtain to provide their own measurements, pictures, etc. in order to provide the best pricing possible. Change orders are strongly discouraged. The right is reserved to the Board of Commissioners of Floyd County, Georgia to delay the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids, during which time bids shall remain open and not subject to withdrawal. The right is also reserved to the Board of Commissioners of Floyd County, Georgia to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all technicalities or informalities. Any contract executed pursuant to this notice shall be binding upon the Board of Commissioners of Floyd County, Georgia, as such, but will not create a liability expressed or implied, against any members of the Board of Commissioners of Floyd County, the Chairman of the Board, or employee of said County, in his or her individual capacity.
