Site work for a water / sewer project in Corte Madera, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work consists of repairing and upgrading existing storm drain pump station facilities to improve operational reliability during storm events. Major elements include removal and replacement of aging level sensors, electrical panels, controllers, wiring, conduits, and associated electrical components within existing pump station sites; installation of new control hardware and related appurtenances; replacement of the automatic transfer switch at the San Clemente Pump Station; testing and commissioning of upgraded systems; and related work including protection of existing facilities, coordination of temporary power or bypass operations as needed, and final site restoration and cleanup. The Engineers estimate for this project is 760,000. Plans, Specifications, and Bid Forms are available on the Town of Corte Madera website. Bidders are responsible for checking the project webpage for addenda, including within 48 hours prior to the bid opening. All addenda must be acknowledged on the Bid Form. Failure to acknowledge any addendum may render the bid non-responsive. A certified check or bid bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, for not less than ten percent (10%) of the proposal shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will fulfill the terms of the bid. The certified check or bid bond shall be made payable to the Town of Corte Madera. The Town reserves the right to refuse any or all proposals or bids or portions thereof. Bids shall be marked with the contractor name, project title, project number, along with date and time of bid opening. Provisions of the Labor Code of the State of California, regarding the prevailing wages shall be applicable to the work to be performed under this contract. The general contractor is required to have a California State Contractor's License Class A or Class C-10. Any trenching work requires a Class A or C-12 license. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal unless registered in good standing with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, and no bid shall be accepted nor contract or subcontract be entered into without proof of the contractor's or subcontractor's current registration to perform public work. Any bidder or contractor not properly licensed with the State of California shall be subject to all legal penalties imposed by law. Failure of the bidder to obtain proper and adequate licensing for an award of the contract shall constitute a failure to execute the contract and shall result in the forfeiture of the security of the bidder. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept only a portion of certain items of the bid or to waive informalities in the bid.
