Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Sealed bids are requested for district-wide concrete sidewalk and curb repairs within the West Chester Area School District, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following list of items as identified below and in the enclosed drawings. A. Removal of concrete sidewalk and/or concrete curb at the schools and locations identified. All demoed materials and trach are to be removed from the site on a daily basis, at the end of the workday. Piles of concrete, dirt, stone and other material are not be left on the work site overnight. Please do not use District dumpsters. B. The concrete sidewalk and curbs are to have a light broom finish. C. New concrete shall have a 28 day cure compression of 3000 psi. D. All new concrete shall have contraction joints so that blocks are nominally 4'x4' or 5'x5' blocks or have an equal and proportional dimension. E. All new concrete shall be covered overnight as needed during extremely warm weather or during inclement weather. F. The Contractor will required to provide sufficient labor to complete the entire scope of work in the allotted time. G. The Contractor will provide all materials needed to properly perform the work. H. The Contractor will be responsible for protecting all surrounding surfaces during the scheduled work. All bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor's Qualification Statement. Bids are required to remain valid for sixty days after the opening date and may be rejected by the School District at any time prior to expiration. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in the amount of ten percent of the bid. Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract price are required. The project is subject to prevailing wage. Questions Due Date: Apr 7th 2026, 12:00 PM EDT All questions must be submitted via online. Questions must be submitted through the specified program. The School Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive informalities and irregularities, and make or not make awards in the best interest of the school district. Bids must remain valid for sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening and may be rejected at any time prior to the expiration of said date.
