East Bradford Township, Chester County will receive sealed bids online for the Ravine Road Embankment Stabilization Project. The project includes providing all labor, materials, and equipment to complete construction of maintenance, repairs, and improvements of a stream embankment, reconstruction of a section of roadway, roadway embankment regrading and stabilization, and extension of the existing storm drainage systems at three sites along Ravine Road. The restoration and armoring of a section of stream and roadway embankment will use Synthetex Articulating Block Fabric Formed Concrete Lining or an approved equal. Any substitutions must be submitted for review and approval 15 days prior to the bid submission deadline, complete with plans and design specifications. Additional work includes the restoration of a collapsed section of roadway, removal and reinstallation of salvaged guiderail, providing and installing any additional new guiderail as needed, the installation of additional inlets, piping, an endwall, a flared end section, and rip-rap outlet protection. The project also involves embankment repairs, regrading, stabilization with permanent erosion control matting, construction of concrete curb, milling and overlay of roadway, and restoration of all areas disturbed during construction, as shown on the project plans. Bids must be submitted online through the PennBid(TM) Program. The low bidder is responsible for a fee to PennBid(TM). Bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount is required. The selected bidder must provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, in a form acceptable to the Township. All bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in Pennsylvania. The Township reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, eliminate any items from the contract, waive any informality in the bids, and accept a bid judged in the Township's best interests. The project is subject to prevailing wage, the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law, the Steel Products Procurement Act, the Trade Practices Act, and the Public Works Employment Verification Act.
