The contract generally involves the labor, materials, services, and equipment necessary for pavement milling, base course repair, and pavement resurfacing on segments of College Hill Dr., William Penn Blvd., Greentree Dr., and South New Street. Sealed bids are to be addressed to Thornbury Township, 800 E Street Rd, West Chester, PA 19832. Hand delivered bids shall be delivered to the mailbox during normal business hours of 8 AM to 3 PM, Mon to Thurs. No bids shall be accepted after 1 PM, May 14, 2026. Bids shall be opened at the Township building shortly after 1 PM, May 14, 2026. The bid package is available via email or hardcopy at the Township Building for $35.00 each, non-refundable. Bid bond or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount is required. All bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting on May 7, 2026 at 9 AM at the Township Building. PA prevailing wage rates apply. PA Act 127 (Public Works Verification Act) requirements apply. The selected bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Workman Comp Insurance Certification. Contract time is 60 calendar days from Issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Thornbury Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof and make awards in any manner deemed to be in the project's best interest. LOCATION OF WORK: Greentree Drive - Road segment length of approximately 1,135 linear feet from #246 Greentree Drive to the Red Lion Road eastern intersection. Pavement milling, base course repairs, and pavement resurfacing on Greentree Drive. LOCATION OF WORK: South New Street - Road segment length of approximately 626 linear feet extending from the area of 1295 S. New Street to just beyond the Militia Hill Drive intersection. Pavement milling, base course repairs, pavement resurfacing and lane striping on South New Street. LOCATION OF WORK: William Penn Boulevard -Road length ofapproximately 1,665 feet extending north from the William Penn Boulevard intersection with Penn Oaks Drive on Wiliam Penn Boulevard.
