Site work, paving and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Morganton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,329-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.
The project involves building a new 17'5" x 30' +/- restroom facility building, with a footprint of approximately 1329 SF +/-, sidewalk installation, asphalt pavement overlay, and other site improvements. Two alternate bids are included: one for driveway improvements and another for additional parking lot improvements. Bids must be accompanied by references of previous similar projects and the applicable Affidavit A or B of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE/MBE/WBE) forms. Three originals of the bid documents must be delivered by the awarded contractor for inclusion in and execution of the contract documents. Bidders should ensure they are on the bidders list to receive updates or addenda. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the bid that appears to be in the best interest of the city or as provided by law. Bids are informal and may be submitted via paperless format, email, mail, or delivered in person. City Staff asked that contractors provide questions to City Engineer, Sam King sking@morgantonnc.gov via email by Tuesday, March 24, 2026, as to allow time to answer all questions by end of day on Monday, March 30, 2026
