Site work and paving for a road / highway in Davenport, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The proposed work includes all labor, materials, tools, supplies, utility and transportation services, equipment and all incidentals necessary for the E. Garfield Street Pavement Reconstruction Project from Lorton Avenue to Forest Road. All work must comply strictly with the plans and specifications prepared by City Staff. Question Cut Off Date 3/30/2026 11:30:00 AM (CT) Bids must be submitted electronically and no paper, faxed, or emailed bids will be accepted. Prices should exclude sales taxes, and a tax exemption certificate will be issued for construction materials incorporated into the project. A Bid Bond of 5% is required for bids over $100,000, and a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount will be required for awarded bids over $100,000. All work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment, must be completed within 40 working days of site availability. Liquidated damages are set at $1,000.00 per day. Manufacturers' written warranties and guarantees are required from the awarded bidder. Bidders must include certificates of insurance for General Liability, Workers Compensation, and Vehicle insurance coverages as specified in the General Contract Conditions. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities. Contractors are required to ensure non-discrimination in employment practices. Potential prime contractors are encouraged to contact DBE sub-contractors.
