Award/Notice to Proceed May 11, 2026 Project Complete December 31, 2026 The Paxton Park Project is a community-driven initiative funded by California's Natural Resources Agency and the Strategic Growth Council's Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) grant. Located at 10965 Haddon Avenue in Pacoima, this 1.5-acre renovation aims to restore connectivity, expand ADA access, and deliver amenities that promote health, shade, and recreation for residents. The project will introduce new walking paths, a prefabricated restroom with a surrounding plaza, ADAcompliant bleachers with shade structures, and upgraded play areas for children. Additional features include fitness equipment, picnic benches, barbeque areas, vegetated swales, and hydration stations. To enhance environmental resilience, the project will plant 15 new trees along the 118 Freeway border, install nature play areas, and incorporate sustainable materials and low/no VOC paints.
