Contract 1A involves the rehabilitation of the existing Beech Avenue Water Storage Tank including the installation of new access manways, vent, railings, a new overflow pipe and other related improvements. The contract also involves the recoating of the existing interior and exterior tank surfaces. Bids will be received for one prime contract. Only written Requests For Information (RFI) will be accepted and must be submitted in writing. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five percent of the amount of the bid submitted. Prospective bidders should review the requirements included in the contract documents including American Iron & Steel Compliance (AIS), MWBE goal of 30%, and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses with SDVOB goal of 6%. The successful bidder will be required to comply with President's Executive Orders prohibiting discrimination in employment, execute a New York State Finance Law Section 139-Disclosure statement, execute a non-collusive bidding certificate, furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and comply with all relevant governmental regulations. Sales and use tax exemptions apply to some purchases. All bids must be accompanied by the contractor's Certificate of Registration and are binding for sixty days after opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities. Estimated Range $3.0M to $3.5M. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
