A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work comprises the demolition of existing equipment (Borough to keep all equipment after removed), construction of an ADA accessible parking space and signage, paved ADA accessible entrance, concrete sidewalks, ADA compliant picnic tables, benches, trash receptacles, workmanship, and all appurtenances for a complete job. Bidders must submit sealed bids to the specified address by the deadline and attend a mandatory pre-bid conference call to be eligible. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent of the bid. Bidders must submit all forms listed in the Attachments to Plans and Specifications. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act apply. Requirements addressing prevailing wages, nondiscrimination in hiring, goals for minority and female participation, minority and women business enterprise participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related documentation must be met and submitted with the bid. Lackawanna County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days. In addition to the Equal Employment requirements of Executive Order 11246 regarding discrimination, the Contractor must also establish a 6.9% goal for female participation and a 1.0% goal for minority participation in his aggregate on-site construction workforce for Contracts in excess of $10,000. Moreover, the Contractor shall strive to meet the MBE goal of 5% and the WBE goal of 3% for contracts of $25,000 or more Question Deadline 04/10/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer through the Lackawanna County Government Center at the Globe.
