The City of Sumner solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in engineering and professional services necessary to design and manage an environmental cleanup project subject to municipal contracting requirements. The City of Sumner reserves the right to amend terms of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ), circulate various addenda, or withdraw the RFQ at any time. The City may retain the services of responsive firm(s) for subsequent project phases. Prospective consultants will be required to comply with ADA and Civil Rights requirements as adopted by the City of Sumner. Aspects of the project may be subject to Washington State prevailing wage rules, filings, and requirements. The project involves undertaking a voluntary cleanup for the property at 914 Kincaid Avenue, Sumner, WA, known as the Former Sumner Texaco Property, which is on the Department of Ecology’s Confirmed Contaminated Sites List. The intent is to obtain a No Further Action letter from the Washington State Department of Ecology. The Statement of Qualifications should describe the composition and qualifications of the proposed team, the experience of key individuals, and relevant experience on similar projects. Submittals must include firm name, contact information, names of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager, and the number of employees per firm. The submittal may not exceed 12 pages, including cover letters and title pages, and must be sent electronically in a single PDF.
