Site work and paving for a road / highway in Highland, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
As of April 14, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on April 20, 2026. Milling and removal of the existing asphalt surface from face of curb to face of curb or flag of curb to flag of curb, patching of existing concrete street in various locations as designated by the City, and application of a 2-1/2 inch hot-mix asphalt surface course. Conditional or qualified bids will not be accepted. Special attention should be given to and compliance with project insurance and bonding requirements. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond at least five percent of the amount bid, payable to the City of Highland, as security for proper execution of the contract. Bids from partnerships or joint ventures are not acceptable. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bids. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty days after the date of receiving and opening. The project is a Public Works Construction Project as defined in the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act 820 ILCS 130; all bidders must account for prevailing wage rates for Madison County, Illinois.
