As of 4/8/2026 the project has been postponed until a later date. The work shall consist of the removal and replacement of 290-linear feet of culverts along Catahoula Coulee, channel cleaning, and associated work. Only bids from contractors licensed under Louisiana Contractor's Licensing Law for bids exceeding $50,000.00 will be considered. Contractors must hold the proper classification under "Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction" in full force and effect when requesting the bidding documents. Question Deadline 04/03/2026 Bidders desiring further information or interpretation of the plans or specifications must make written request for such information to the Engineer. A bid guarantee equivalent to 5% of the base bid plus any additive alternates, in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, must accompany each bid as assurance that the bidder will execute the contractual documents if accepted. If a bid bond is used, it must be from an approved surety or insurance company as listed or rated according to specified criteria. The successful contractor will be required to execute performance and payment bonds equal to the full amount of the contract. Bidding documents may be examined and obtained from Sellers & Associates, Inc., with a refundable deposit required for paper copies. They are also available electronically without charge. Each bid must be submitted on the provided Louisiana Uniform Public Work Bid Form. The prime contractor and all subcontractors must have an active SAM Unique Entity ID (UEI) number and an active SAM Cage Code number prior to beginning construction and throughout the contract term. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
