Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Saint Martinville, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.
The work consists of the contractor supplying the labor, equipment, superintendence, material, etc. for saw cutting, removal, and replacement of 0.85 miles of 4 existing sidewalk and curb with 5 sidewalk and 30 decorative lighting installations. Additional work includes laying the conduit necessary to power the lights, adjusting existing catch basins, and removal and construction of existing driveways. The contractor is responsible for mobilization of equipment, construction layout, taking photos and videos of ongoing construction, and staging all work to minimize impact on residential and commercial properties in the work zone. All work must be completed within 120 working days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. Bidders may submit their bids electronically or by hand/mail delivery and must provide required documentation and bid security as specified. A Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority authorizing the person signing the bid must be submitted, and contractors must be licensed for 'HIGHWAY STREET AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION.' Bids will be evaluated on the lowest responsible and responsive submission in compliance with the bid documents. The participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) is strongly encouraged. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
