The scope of work generally includes the relocation of the existing ground mounted ERU to the existing roof above the multipurpose room along with all other associated work as specified and shown on the drawings. All bidders must use and complete all required bid forms and comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids must be marked in a sealed envelope with the name of the project plainly marked on the front and delivered to the Business Administrator. No bids will be received by facsimile or electronic transmission and any bid received after the closing time will be returned unopened. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. Bidders must comply with requirements related to "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action, all bidders and named subcontractors must possess current and effective Public Works Contractor Registration Certificates as of the bid opening date. Bidders are requested to submit these certificates with their bid submission or provide them within five business days upon request. Bidders and named subcontractors must also have a valid Business Registration Certificate prior to award of a contract. Bidders must submit a Certificate of Prequalification/Classification from the NJ Division of Property Management and Construction and an Affidavit as to the Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts for the bidder and all major subcontractors. Bids must comply with the requirements of the Prevailing Wage Rate Determination. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements and in accordance with law. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days from the opening of the bids. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any immaterial defects in any bid, or to award a contract in whole or in part.
