The documents from the original solicitation are being used for the rebid.* Westfield Public School District: Franklin Elementary School Main Entry Upgrades The scope of work generally includes the addition of a new inclined walking surface, stairs and entry portico at the main entrance of the school along with all other associated work as specified and shown on the drawings. All bidders must use and complete all required bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids are to be marked in a sealed envelope with the name of the project, plainly marked on the front of the envelope. Any bid submitted by mail or delivery service is done so at the sole risk of the bidder. No bids will be received by facsimile or electronic transmission. It is the bidder's responsibility to get the proposals to the Business Administrator prior to the time and date set for bid opening. Any bid received after the closing time will be returned unopened. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action. All bidders and named subcontractors must possess current and effective Public Works Contractor Registration Certificates as of the bid opening date. If copies of certificates are not included with the bid submission, they must be provided prior to award and within five (5) business days of request. Bidders and subcontractors must have a valid Business Registration Certificate prior to award of contract and should submit a copy with the bid. Bidders must be classified by the State in applicable trades and submit prequalification documents. Bidders must not be on any list of debarred, suspended or disqualified bidders and must submit an affidavit to that effect. All bidders must comply with prevailing wage requirements. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days from opening. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive immaterial defects, or to award a contract in whole or in part. Ambiguities, errors, or omissions noted by bidders together with all questions and requests for clarifications pertaining to this Request for Bids shall be submitted via e-mail to the attention of the Architect via email at info@fkarch.com by no later than February 6, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
