The New Carlisle Fire Territory is seeking assistance with architectural pre-design and preliminary design services for a new fire station and headquarters facility. PART ONE: SCOPE OF SERVICES The New Carlisle Fire Territory is evaluating the development of a new fire station and headquarters facility to serve the community's current and future emergency service needs. The purpose of this RFQ is to select a qualified firm to assist the Fire Territory with facility programming and preliminary design to inform project feasibility, cost estimating, and future design decisions. The Fire Territory will provide available site information, operational input from Fire Department personnel, and coordination with local planning officials as necessary. The New Carlisle Fire Territory is soliciting qualification statements for architectural services to lead pre-design and preliminary design services for the proposed new fire station and headquarters facility. The resulting agreement will be on a lump sum, fixed price basis with payment terms to be negotiated with the selected Respondent. The services to be provided will include: 1. Stakeholder meetings with Fire Department and Fire Territory members to collect required information to create the building program. 2. Site observation of existing facilities. 3. Development of the Program Document for the proposed facility. 4. Zoning and code research. 5. Design of preliminary site plan, floor plan, and elevations. The plans are to be of a preliminary nature to demonstrate inclusion of the spaces required to estimate construction cost and total project cost. 6. Rendering of the preliminary design. 7. Design narrative explaining what is included in the design. Deliverables are anticipated to include: o Written building program o Preliminary site plan o Preliminary floor plans o Preliminary building elevations o One or more conceptual renderings o Preliminary opinion of probable construction cost The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
