This requirement is for the limited-source repair of one unit of National Stock Number 6110-015046723, identified as CONTROL, GENERATOR, Part Number 21B17-96-B with alternate Part Number 70550-02031-115. The item is designated as a Critical Application Item, and repair can only be performed by approved sources due to the Government's lack of sufficient technical data. Any vendor not already approved must submit complete source-approval documentation in accordance with the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochure at the time of proposal submission. Items associated with this requirement are subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. Failure to provide complete approval data will result in the proposal not being considered. The repair effort includes induction of the unit within 365 calendar days from contract award, with the option for the Government to extend the induction period by an additional 365 days. The contractor must provide pricing for up to ten units over the full period of performance, including separate pricing for the second year if applicable. The Government may place an initial order for any number of units up to the stated maximum, with total contract value based on the highest proposed unit price multiplied by the maximum quantity.
