Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Malaga, Washington. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of April 27, 2026 project was awarded to Hurst Construction, but awarded amount is not available. This project seeks to install a new biosolids storage building and make improvements to existing sludge drying drainage systems at the City of Wenatchee's Sludge Drying Bed Facility. The building is anticipated to be a prefabricated metal structure, including a concrete slab, concrete ecology blocks to enclose the storage area, and a drainage ditch on the west end of the slab. The drainage system work includes the installation of grating capable of supporting the weight of heavy equipment, replacement of the contents of the drainage trenches, and the replacement of drainage pipe in one of the trenches. The time for completion of the work is limited to 60 working days. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of the bid proposal. Checks are to be made payable to The City of Wenatchee. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and provide satisfactory performance and payment bond within the required time, the bid proposal deposit will be forfeited. The City of Wenatchee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or bidding. All services provided must be in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the time set for opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless the award is delayed for more than forty-five (45) days. Disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration of an award.
