The Buffalo Public Schools (BPS) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide hazardous waste management and disposal services for approximately 70 schools and facilities. Services include collection, inventory, storage, handling, packaging, documentation, transportation, transfer, and disposal of hazardous waste. The types of hazardous wastes covered include, but are not limited to, old paints, paint thinners, kerosene, fuel oil, printing inks and cleaners, boiler chemical treatment, and laboratory chemicals such as nitric acid, sulfuric acid, and potassium hydroxide. Disposal methods may include recycling, treatment, neutralization, processing, destruction, and/or disposal in a hazardous waste landfill.
