Renovation of an educational facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids will be received for Midway Restroom Renovations, Project No. 2027-242. Complete bidding documents may be obtained from the architect upon receipt of a deposit for each set of documents. If documents are to be shipped, a shipping and handling fee will be charged. Prime bidders must obtain an original set of documents from the designer. The deposit is fully refundable to all bona fide prime bidders who submit a bid and return the documents in good condition within ten days after the receipt of bids. Bidders are required to be Louisiana licensed contractors with a major classification as building construction. Bid security equal to five percent of the total bid must be included, in the prescribed form. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the contract amount from a company licensed in Louisiana. Liquidated damages of $350 per day will apply for work not completed beyond the established completion date. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bidders are encouraged to make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference by an individual knowledgeable with preparing the bid is required; failure to attend or remain for the duration prohibits bid submission.
