This is a school paving project involving roadway and parking area improvements at Caddo Heights Elementary. The work may require a Louisiana contractor license with building construction and/or highway/street/bridge classification. All labor, materials, tools, appliances, and facilities necessary for the complete construction and completion of the project are to be provided. The project must be completed within 67 days, with liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for delays. Alternates include adding twenty-two parking spaces with markings and fifteen parking spaces with markings as shown on the plans. Bidders are required to submit a 5% bid bond and a 100% performance bond. Bidders must acknowledge all addenda and familiarize themselves with the project site. Failure to include a copy of the required signature authorization, if applicable, may result in the rejection of the bid. Bid security is required in the form prescribed by relevant Louisiana statutes. The Caddo Parish School Board desires that Bidders make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses.
