Sealed bids will be received for the Booker T. Washington Paving Project, Project No. 2027-229. Complete bidding documents may be obtained from the designated contact upon receipt of a deposit. Prime bidders must obtain an original set of bidding documents from the designer. Louisiana licensed contractors with a major classification in building construction are required. Bid security equal to five percent of the total bid, in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check, must be attached to the bid. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% performance bond. Liquidated damages of $450 per day will be assessed for each day past the established completion date of sixty-seven days. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening. The board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bidders are encouraged to make a good faith effort to utilize 25% small and economically disadvantaged businesses. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference is required for eligibility. Perspective bidders must remain in attendance for the duration of the conference to submit a bid for the project. The budget for the project is $450,000. All questions will be due by close of business (5:00 pm) on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
