Question Deadline 05/01/2026 Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request to the Engineer to reach him at least seven (7) working days prior to the date of receipt of bids. Box 78282 Shreveport, Louisiana 71137 Phone & Fax: (318) 221-2634 Email: admin@caddolevee.org Work on this project includes all work as indicated in the Bid Documents, which includes Drawings, Project Manual, and Addenda (if any). Only contractors who are licensed under Louisiana Contractors Licensing Law for the major classification of "Highway, Street & Bridge Construction" or Heavy Construction are eligible. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid (including any Alternates) in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or a satisfactory bid bond by a company with a current A.M. Best Rating of at least 'A-' (Excellent), Financial Size Category 'VII' with a 'Stable' Outlook, and licensed in the State of Louisiana. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount and a Payment Bond equal to fifty percent (50%) of the contract amount. The contract time is ninety (90) calendar days, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day for work not completed beyond the ninety days after the date of commencement. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after the opening date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids with just cause. Bids that deviate from the Construction Documents will not be considered.
