As of April 22, 2026 project was awarded to J Congdon Sewer Service Inc, awarded amount is $3,818,524.64. All dead sod, stone, concrete debris, etc. shall be removed and existing dirt leveled of prior to topsoil placement and seeding as directed by the Engineer in the field. This work shall consist of restoring turf landscape areas as a result of construction operations for the proposed improvements. The work shall include any required excavation to construct this item, furnishing of topsoil, preparing the seed bed and placing the seed, placement of erosion control media, and other materials required in seeding operations on the disturbed areas such as the new sidewalk installation. 24% MBE and 10% WBE The 35% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal is optional. The work includes new 12" and 8" PVC water main installation, construction of lateral WMQ storm sewers, abandoning the existing water main, water service box removal and replacement, valve vaults, fire hydrants, lead service replacement into the home, storm and sanitary sewer spot repairs, various roadway resurfacing treatments, and all necessary restoration. Special requirements include a focus on the Cook County CDBG Grant for water main improvements on Portsmouth Avenue from Roosevelt to Gladstone, with the Contractor providing 24% MBE and 10% WBE participation for this portion. All CDBG funds for the Portsmouth Avenue work must be expended by September 30, 2026. No work can begin until May 1, 2026 unless otherwise authorized by the Village in writing. Bidders must purchase bid documents and be listed on the Bidder's Planholder List to submit a bid. Bids from firms not on this list will be rejected.
