Reference Number 0000417560 The City of Fraser operates and maintains municipal water utility infrastructure and is evaluating options for its water meter system. Proposers are encouraged to recommend solutions based on best practices and proven performance in comparable municipal environments. The City seeks innovative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that may include, but are not limited to: Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). Automated Meter Reading (AMR). Meter data management and analytics. Communication networks and related software. The City of Fraser provides water services to approximately 6,927 metered connections. The existing system includes Neptune and Ferguson type water meters. The existing water meters are located inside basements of residential homes, some located in crawl spaces, and in commercial and industrial buildings. The City utilizes BS&A software for billing. The following is a list of the estimated meter quantities per size that exist within the city. 5/8 x 3/4 Meters 4,37 1 Meters 2,136 1- 1/2 Meters - 219 2 Meters - 165 3 Meters - 21 4 Meters -9 6 Meters -1 8- Meters - 1 Some of the water meters are located in meter pits and would require expansion connectors. The following is the number of meters in pits per size. 6 of the 5/8 meters are in pits requiring expansion connectors. 1 of the 1 meters is in a pit requiring expansion connectors. 1 location has a large meter pit with 5 large meters, 4 and larger, within the pit.
