Renovation of a multi-residential development in North Adams, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The project consists of repair of concrete stoops at Greylock & Riverview, minor concrete repairs at Ashland Park, heat tracer wiring on the roof eaves at Riverview, and exterior masonry repainting at Ashland Park and Spring Park as alternates. The estimated cost, including alternates, is $600,000. Bidder selection, procedures, and contract awards shall be in conformity with applicable state laws and wage rates. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the Prime category of General Construction and include a current DCAMM "Prime General Contractor" Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM "Prime G.C." Update Statement. Sub-bidders must be DCAMM-certified in Electrical and Painting categories and include a current DCAMM "Sub-Bidder" Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Update Statement. The work of this Contract includes all labor and materials necessary to complete all work required for the: 1 Concrete Stoop Repairs at Greylock Valley and Riverview Apartments including minor repairs on the east facade of Ashland Park Apartments as Base Bid: 2 Heat Tracer additions on the three buildings at Riverview Apartments including power and wiring as Add Alternate #1: and 3 Exterior Masonry Painting on 3 elevations of Ashland Park Building and all4 elevations of Spring Park Apartments as Add Alternate #2 for the North Adams Housing Authority, 150 Ashland Street, North Adams, Massachusetts 01247 in accordance with the Contract Documents as prepared by Roy S. Brown Architects and Robt. W. Hall Consulting Engineers subject to additions and deductions according to the terms and conditions of the Contract. Included under the scope of work of this section is the replacement of any existing construction damaged during the course of the job. Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than 5% of the total bid, payable to the North Adams Housing Authority.
