As of May 05, 2026, project was awarded to Speedway Sand & Gravel, Inc., awarded amount is $2,321,734.24 Project includes storm sewer and water construction. Contractor shall provide all items, articles, materials, operations or methods mentioned or scheduled on the drawings or herein specified: including all labor, supervision, equipment, incidentals, taxes and permits necessary to complete the Work as described within the Contract Documents. Contractor shall install all items provided by Owner as mentioned or scheduled on the drawings or herein specified. Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the bid, payable to the Fitchburg Treasurer, as a guarantee that the bidder, if the bid is accepted, will execute and file Contract and Bond within 15 days of award. Performance and Payment Bonds each 100% of the bid, with executed Contract is required of successful bidder. Q/A:- All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The work in the Belmar Neighborhood shall be substantially complete on or before August 1, 2026. The work in the Tower Hill Neighborhood shall be substantially complete on or before September 1, 2026. All work shall be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions on or before October 15, 2026. It is anticipated that the Notice to Proceed will be issued around May 10, 2026.
