Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lemont, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project consists of hot-mix asphalt surface removal and resurfacing, leveling binder (machine method), hot-mix asphalt surface course, class D patches, spot combination curb and gutter removal and replacement, spot sidewalk removal and replacement, thermoplastic pavement markings, and all appurtenant construction for a total length of 1.91 miles on various streets. Bidders must be IDOT prequalified. The two lowest bidders must submit an "Affidavit of Availability" (Form BC 57) in triplicate within 24 hours after the letting, showing all uncompleted contracts awarded to them and all low bids pending award for Federal, State, County, Municipal, and private work. One copy must be filed with the Awarding Authority and one original with the IDOT District Office. The Awarding Authority may waive technicalities and reject any or all proposals. Bidders must return the following forms: BLR 12200 (Local Public Agency Formal Contract Proposal), BLR 12201 (Schedule of Prices), BLR 12230 (Proposal Bid Bond), BLR 12325 (Apprenticeship or Training Program Certification), and BLR 12326 (Affidavit of Illinois Business Office). The Contractor is required to pay Prevailing Wages in accordance with all applicable laws. ***Bidders must have their own plant, per IDOT’s specification in order to bid on the project.***
