Site work for a water / sewer project in Lemont, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to replace lead service lines for 27 properties from the curb box to the water meter inside the building (private side). This includes connection to the existing curb stop, lead service line disconnection and abandonment, installation and connection of a new water service line, water meter installation, seeding, tree protection, tree root pruning, and other related work as outlined in the plans and specifications. Bidders are required to undertake specified affirmative efforts at least sixteen (16) days prior to bid opening as outlined in the specifications. Bidders must comply with regulations under the Procedures for Issuing Loans from the Public Water Supply Loan Program (35IAC Part 662), the Davis-Bacon Act, the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, the Illinois Works Jobs Program Act, and federal "Build America, Buy America Act" requirements. Bidders are also required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 as amended, with requirements explained in 41 CFR 60-4. The loan recipient's policy regarding increased use of disadvantaged business enterprises applies.
