Argonne National Laboratory is seeking qualified contractors to provide non-destructive concrete and masonry scanning services on an as-needed basis. The contractor shall perform scanning using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and, when necessary, complementary detection technologies to identify embedded elements in substrates such as cast-in-place concrete slabs, concrete walls, beams, columns, decks, CMU, precast concrete elements, and structural toppings. Embedded items to be identified may include reinforcing steel, post-tension cables, electrical conduits, mechanical piping, embedded anchors or plates, and detectable voids or anomalies. Services are required to reduce risk prior to blind penetrations and to support safe construction and maintenance. The contractor shall provide trained technicians and equipment, use appropriate scanning methods, define scan limits, mark detected items, provide documentation including sketches, photographs, annotated drawings, and summary reports, avoid damage to existing structures, provide digital deliverables when requested, and comply with all applicable safety requirements. Services will be performed as needed, with coordination with an Argonne technical representative and may include short-notice or emergency requests. Award will be made on a Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable basis. Bidders must include a signed copy of the required ANL-70 RFQ and ANL-70A Reps & Certs documents in their proposal.
