The awarded contractor is Spierling Trucking and Excavating. The contract bid amount is 88,252.50. The anticipated start date is on or after June 15, 2026. Sealed bids are requested for the installation of approximately 5,400 square yards of cold milling and approximately 500 tons of HMA pavement, along with other related appurtenances, clean-up, services, work, and materials. All bidders must register with Benchmark Engineering as plan holders. Proposals must include a bid bond or bank letter of credit for 5% of the contract amount. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked for the project, along with the company name. The successful bidder will be required to enter a contract and provide proof of Workers Compensation and Public Liability insurances. The City of Harbor Springs reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to award to the bidder whose bid best serves the City's interest. No proposal may be withdrawn for 60 days from the bid opening date.
