Renovation of an educational facility in Houma, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Work involves renovations at Louis Miller Career and Arts Academy, 310 St. Charles Street, Houma, LA 70360, identified as Architect's Project No. T705-1224. All work must be completed within 365 calendar days from the written Notice to Proceed, subject to milestone phase deadlines or approved Change Orders. Failure to complete the work or obtain State Fire Marshal occupancy approval by the required date will allow the Owner to deduct a stipulated daily sum from any monies due the contractor, as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. Proposals must be submitted using the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form as provided in the Contract Documents and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each bid must include: (1) Bid Security equal to at least 5% of the Bid Amount (certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the Terrebonne Parish School Board; no money orders or letters of credit; bid bond to include Power of Attorney); (2) Completed Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form; (3) Corporate resolution or other signature authorization as required. Bids must comply with all terms in the Instructions to Bidders. Only contractors licensed in Building Construction under La. R.S. 37:2150-2164 are eligible. Bids may not be withdrawn for at least 45 calendar days after closing. Proposal prices must exclude all taxes but include any shipping or transportation charges. The School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause.
