The items of work indicated below propose modifications to, substitutions for, additions to and/or deletions from the various parts of the Work specified in other Sections of the Specifications. The use, acceptance or rejection of any of the allowances is strictly at the sole option and discretion of the District. The scope of work includes roofing projects at multiple school sites for the Orange Unified School District. These are: roofing of the entire campus at Canyon Rim Elementary School, roofing of the entire campus at Canyon Hills School, roofing of the 300 Wing at Canyon High School, and roofing of the Agriculture Building at Orange High School. Instructions to bidders include: - Bids must be electronically submitted through the designated Vendor Portal. - Each project has a specific bid deadline. - Project documents are available only through the Vendor Portal and will govern over any conflicting notice. - The prime contractor must possess a valid CSLB Class C-39 (Roofing) California State Contractor's License and be registered as required by California law. - The contract time is 45 days. Bidders should consult the project requirements for information about milestones and liquidated damages. - Attendance at an entire, mandatory pre-bid conference at specified times and locations is required for bid eligibility. - The contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who provides all required bonds, insurance, and documentation.
