Site work for a civil project in Granite Falls, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Tulalip Tribes is advertising a “Request for Proposals” (RFP) from qualified contractors for the Lake Bosworth Creek Fish Passage Correction Project located in Snohomish County, WA in the City of Granite Falls (hereinafter referred to as the “Project”). The specific project address is: 6602 Skinner Rd, Granite Falls, WA 98252. Anticipated project duration is July 16th through August, 2026. Tulalip has received a federal grant through a NOAA Transformation grant to complete a culvert removal and replacement project. The goal of this project is to benefit natural process function in Lake Bosworth Creek and provide increased salmonid access upstream of the current documented fish passage barrier. The main project elements will include removal of a concrete culvert (3’ diameter) under a private driveway, installing a pre-fabricated concrete bridge (29’ long x 12.5’ Wide) and associated abutments and components, regrading the stream, and installing deformable grade controls and large woody debris. The Engineer’s Estimate ranges from $140,000 ± 25% in total. This project involves several key actions to upgrade a private road crossing and enhance this local Pilchuck stream system health and stormwater management: Barrier Removal: one existing barrier culvert (3-foot diameter, 20-foot long pipes) and their associated fill are being removed from an unpaved private road crossing Lake Bosworth Creek. Replacement & Installation: The crossing will be replaced with a 30-ft long x 12.5-foot wide prefabricated concrete bridge on concrete abutment walls, footings, and wingwalls. This open-bottom design will better accommodate the stream and aquatic passage. Restoration & Reconstruction: 65 linear feet (LF) of the stream channel are being reconstructed through the crossing area. 40 LF of the adjacent roadway and ditches are being rebuilt to improve overall stormwater drainage. These improvements aim to eliminate fish passage barriers and enhance the crossing's resilience and environmental compatibility.
