This project includes the removal and disposal of designated ash trees in City parks and cemetery properties as part of an Emerald Ash Borer Mitigation Plan. Required work involves complete removal of identified ash trees, removal and disposal of all brush, limbs, and wood debris, stump grinding to a minimum depth of 8-12 inches below grade, surface restoration with topsoil and turfgrass seed, traffic and pedestrian control as necessary, and compliance with all arboricultural safety standards. The work is to be performed over a three-year term with an estimated 200 trees to be removed, subject to change. Boulevard (right-of-way) trees are not included unless specifically identified. Bidders must be licensed and insured, provide proof of liability and workers' compensation insurance, and demonstrate experience in large-scale tree removal. Pricing must be submitted per diameter inch at 4.5 feet above grade, with unit prices covering all labor, equipment, mobilization, documentation, disposal, and incidental costs. No lump sum bids will be accepted. Bids should also include pricing for stump grinding, mobilization, hourly rates for additional services, proof of insurance, and an estimated timeline for completion. All bids must be clearly marked as specified.
