New Elementary School Project - Wide Area Network Extension The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District requests sealed bids for the New Elementary School Project- Wide Area Network Extension (Project # 23-037.03). This single-prime project (1 Contract: Fiber-Optic Lineman Contractor) consists of extending the District's fiber optic network to 1200 W. Swedesford Road from existing facilities to service the new Bear Hill Elementary School. The network extension includes three parts: (1) using an existing underground conduit in the Main Distribution Frame of 1200 W Swedesford Road to a designated pole on Howellville Road; (2) new construction or pole attachments from that pole to a riser pole at Hillside Elementary School, 507 Howellville Road, Berwyn, PA; and (3) overlashing new fiber optic cable on existing attachments from Hillside Elementary School to the District's Network Operations Center (NOC), 81 Howellville Rd, Berwyn, PA. The cable will run continuously from Bear Hill Elementary to the NOC, mostly using aerial attachments on PECO and Verizon poles, including one crossing of railroad tracks by Norfolk Southern. The 96-strand single-mode fiber optic cable will be lashed along the aerial route. The building entrance at the NOC is aerial from Conestoga Road, using an existing pathway to the second floor of the building. Bids are to be received electronically before 3:00 P.M., Friday, April 24, 2026, on the PennBid website, with results displayed publicly and read aloud at the School District Administration Offices. The Board of School Directors reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive errors or technical defects in the bid or bid forms.
