Sealed proposals are sought for the 2024 LSA Turtle Creek Street Reconstruction project. Bidding documents, including Information for Bidders, Contract, Form of Proposal and Bid Forms, Plans, and Specifications, are available from Glenn Engineering & Associates for a non-refundable fee per set, with an additional mailing fee if requested. No documents will be issued within 48 hours of the scheduled bid opening. The contract is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. All bidders must submit a bid bond equal to 10% of the bid amount, using a certified check, bank cashier's check, or another negotiable instrument guaranteed by a commercial bank. The Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any form of bid bond. The Borough also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities or irregularities, negotiate after receipt of bids, and to increase or decrease any quantities. Bids submitted after the specified deadline will not be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after submission. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received. The work under this project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment required for the performance of all rehabilitation as indicated in the Contract Documents. The work essentially includes, but is not limited to the following: a. General Site Preparation. b. Asphalt milling. c. Placement of two (2") inch, as directed, compacted depth of Superpave 19.0mm Binder Material. d. Placement of one and one half (1 1/2") and two (2"), as directed, inch compacted depth of Superpave 9.5mm Wearing Material. e. Raising of water/gas valves and manholes/inlets. f. Installation of 6" wedge curbing. g. Asphalt keyways and brick removal. h. All required site cleanup and site restoration and landscaping. i. All other related and required work.
