Mandatory Prequalification Questionnaire Deadline: 10 DAYS PRIOR TO BID DATE Each bidder must submit with the bid a list of designated subcontractors on the provided form. The district will permit substitution of securities for any moneys withheld to ensure contract performance. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidders security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, which can be cash, cashiers check, certified check, or a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety. All labor performed must be paid at not less than the prevailing wage rates. Contractors and subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified for public work. Prospective prime bidders and certain mechanical, electrical, or plumbing subcontractors must be prequalified by the District, with prequalification documents submitted 10 days prior to the bid date. Payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, are required prior to contract execution. All bonds must be issued by a California admitted surety. Bidders must comply with goals and requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises participation or make a good faith effort. Requests for substitutions must be included with the bid.
