The City of Lenoir is requesting Statements of Qualifications from individuals to provide Professional Engineering Services to conduct an arc flash assessment that meets the requirements of current standards in accordance with 29CFR1910.132.(d)(1), NFPA 70E. The procedures will require developing electrical system impedances using source impedances obtained from Duke Energy or Blue Ridge Energy and a review of the most recent field data. An up-to-date single line diagram of the facilities must be created to perform arc flash calculations to determine incident energy levels. From these incident energy levels, risk categories and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements will be determined. Each respondent must submit electronic Statements of Qualifications through the North Carolina electronic Vendor Portal by 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Submittals received after that date and time will not be considered. Any request for clarification must be directed through the North Carolina electronic Vendor Portal.
