The project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to demolish and remove from site those areas denoted to be replaced as stipulated and implied in the contract documents. Bidders must be licensed contractors pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and possess a valid and active Class A License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of the contract. Bidder and subcontractors are required to be registered as public works contractors with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the work called for in the contract documents. Bidder is required to certify that they either meet the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal of three percent (3%) participation or made a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation while bidding this project. All bids shall be on the form provided by the District and must be responsive. Any bids received after the time specified or after any extensions due to material changes shall be returned unopened. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid job walk is required; any contractor who fails to attend will be deemed a non-responsive bidder and will have its bid returned unopened. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety days after the date of the bid opening.
