The Town of Surfside, Florida is seeking sealed proposals from qualified firms to provide design-build services for the Town Hall HVAC Replacement Project. The services involve furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, permits, supervision, and services necessary to remove the existing HVAC system and install a new, fully operational HVAC system for the Town Hall building. This includes removal and replacement of current HVAC equipment such as the central chiller system, rooftop air handling units, variable air volume (VAV) boxes, associated piping, ductwork, controls, and electrical components as required. The selected proposer is expected to deliver a complete, integrated HVAC system that meets the building’s cooling and ventilation needs, enhances energy efficiency, improves indoor air quality, and ensures long-term reliability and maintainability. The work required includes pre-construction services, field verification, system design, equipment selection, permitting, demolition, installation, testing, balancing, commissioning, staff training, warranties, and closeout documentation. The HVAC system must comply with all applicable codes and regulations, including the Florida Building Code, and be suitable for a coastal environment with corrosion-resistant materials. The Town may award the project to one or more firms and will consider alternative system approaches including, but not limited to, chilled water systems, packaged systems, or variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems as deemed in its best interest. All proposers intending to submit a proposal are required to attend a mandatory pre-proposal meeting, which will include a project overview and site visit.
