Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The work involves rehabilitating Runway 10-28 at the St. Marys Municipal Airport. Bids must be submitted on prescribed forms provided by the St. Marys Municipal Airport Authority and follow the General Provisions, Proposal Requirements, and Conditions Section 20. Each bidder must submit a bid guarantee equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount using a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument, as assurance they will execute contractual documents if their bid is accepted. Work must begin within ten (10) days of written notification to proceed and be fully completed within 30 calendar days of such notification. Bidders must comply with nondiscrimination requirements under 49 CFR Part 26. A DBE participation goal is set at 0%, though DBE participation is encouraged. All bidders must submit a list of firms providing quotes, including firm details and DBE status, and certify compliance with restrictions on contracts or products from certain foreign countries. Successful bidders must enter into an agreement and provide a contract bond and insurance evidence within 15 days of acceptance notification. Wages must follow those predetermined by the U.S. Secretary of Labor included in the specifications and contract documents. All work is subject to regulations in Section R of the Contract Documents. Contractor agrees to begin the work contemplated by this contract within ten (10) days after the date of receipt by the General Contractor of written notice by the Owner to proceed and to fully and finally complete the same within thirty (30) calendar days after receipt of such notice to proceed.
