Sealed proposals are requested for Annual Fire Extinguisher Inspection and Maintenance by the Housing Authority of the City of High Point. The contractor will inspect and maintain approximately 718 portable fire extinguishers across all HPHA properties, following the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 10 – Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers. The contractor must ensure all extinguishers are present, properly mounted, charged, and free from any visible or physical damage or conditions that could prevent proper operation. Instructions to bidders include: - Proposals must be sealed and delivered by the specified deadline; late, faxed, or emailed submissions are not accepted. - Proposals must be clearly marked on the envelope as required. - Four (4) copies of the proposal must be submitted. - Proposals must include all required forms and documentation, such as the Responder’s Statement, Profile of Firm, Cost Proposal, Proposal Evaluation Criteria, Financial Statement or Audit, Section 3 and MWBE Certifications, Executive Order #11246 Compliance Report, References/Experience, Non-collusive Affidavit, Estimated Project Work Force, Certifications and Representations of Offerors Non-Construction Contract (form HUD-5369-C), E-Verify Affidavit, and Personnel Certification. - Each company must provide all required paperwork. - The contractor must not discriminate in employment practices, and minority owned, women owned, and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to participate. - The HPHA reserves the right to reject all proposals and waive minor informalities.
