The project is for the replacement and upgrade of the Grit Removal System and Sewage Pumps and associated appurtenances. The work includes, but is not limited to: selective demolition; temporary bypass pumping measures; selective replacement of the piping, fittings, and appurtenances for installation of owner-furnished sewage pumps, including core drilling; modification or replacement of VFDs; replacement of grit screw system similar in-kind; structural steel modification and reinforcement of the monorail hoist system; restoration; and associated electrical work. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required, as well as a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25%. Bidders may obtain electronic copies of specifications and drawings at no cost. Attention is called to the requirement that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid, and that there shall be no discrimination in employment based on race, color, religious creed, ancestry, age, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or to waive any informality or irregularity as deemed to the best interest of the Township.
