Construction consists of a new scale house with two truck scales—one inbound and one outbound—as shown on the Construction Drawings. The project includes improvements to site layout, installation of new pavement, parking areas, earthwork for subgrade elevations, stripping and stockpiling topsoil, grading, and compacting structural fill. Construction of the new scale house will include all architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components necessary for a fully functional facility, including doors, windows, finishes, and utility connections. The contractor will install two new truck scales, complete with foundations, approach slabs, and all required connections. Site improvements will include aggregate base, asphalt pavement, and construction of concrete pads, curbs, and sidewalks. The contractor will provide all materials and labor to complete these improvements, ensuring proper drainage and compliance with design grades, and is responsible for grading, drainage improvements, installation of any required stormwater controls, and coordination of all utility services. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents, and is responsible for all aspects of construction including earthwork, pavement installation, building construction, and coordination of utility services.
