Remodeling of an educational facility in Salina, Kansas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.
Installation of new LVT, carpet, and walk-off carpet throughout building primary hallways. Installation of new 4 ½” rubber base throughout all areas to receive new flooring; existing 4” base to be removed. Existing flooring types to be removed include broadloom carpet, carpet tile, vinyl composition tile (VCT), rubber base, and rubber edge strip. In some areas, existing VCT shall remain, with new floor finish installed over the existing tile. Owner will strip existing VCT floors. All demolition, patching, and preparation is the responsibility of the contractor. Alternates include cut-in logo/design at entry vestibule and foyer, and replacement of existing cafeteria/gym floor with new cushioned sport floor. The contractor is responsible for incidental general construction items as necessary for performance and completion of the project. All aspects of the project shall be phased to minimize disturbance to the daily schedule and other concurrent projects. Completed areas are to be turned over as soon as possible following installation, punch list review, and acceptance by the owner. Materials are to be on site or have assured delivery dates prior to construction to minimize delays. Type of work completed, contractor’s ability to complete work on schedule, and contractor references will be carefully considered. Owner is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other bid and reserves the right to waive informalities in the bids and/or process.
