The project consists of IP surveillance equipment and installation and upgrades as described in the construction documents. Bidders are required to submit sealed bids and must possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: B (General Building), C-7 (Low Voltage), or C-10 (Electrical). The bidder's license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of the bid opening and must remain so throughout the term of the contract. Each bidder must provide bid security with the bid form in the form of a bid bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. All workers on the project must be paid no less than the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. Bidders and their subcontractors must comply with applicable registration and qualification requirements. There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visits. Absence or tardiness at these will render a bid ineligible. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the bid opening, and the District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding process. The District will determine the low bid based on the base bid plus alternate and reserves discretion to award the base bid with or without any alternate, or not to award at all.
