Renovation of a mixed-use development in Elk Grove, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.

This project consists of the removal of two existing crank operated lighting truss systems (fly-pipes) and associated cranks, cables, electrical service and controls. Upgrade the existing electrical distribution and lighting controls to support new fly-pipe systems. Installation of two new motorized fly-pipes including associated structural support blocking, power and control connections. Modifications to existing overhead ductwork and fire sprinkler piping to accommodate new structural blocking and fly-pipe systems and other work as indicated on the drawings per specifications and details. The project prime contractor shall hold a Class-B general contractor's license and shall be responsible for all demolition, structural upgrades, mechanical ductwork modifications, modifications to fire sprinkler piping, painting and all miscellaneous work. Prime general contractor shall retain the services of a specialty theater stage rigging and equipment subcontractor who shall possess a Class C-61/D-34a specialty license in the state of California. This specialty subcontractor shall be responsible for procurement and installation of the specified fly-pipe system and specialty electrical lighting control systems. All required documents must be submitted at the bid opening. Certification regarding employee fingerprinting and criminal background check must be submitted at the time of the bid opening. All bidders are required to attend the mandatory pre-bid conference in its entirety. Bids received from parties not attending will be rejected as non-responsive. Contractors and subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5 to perform public work.
